Taichi, known as a Chinese martial art, a wrestling style, or quite simply ‘meditation in motion’, is famous for its varied health benefits including, longevity. It fuses the practice of mediation with Eastern philosophy and is also in agreement with other Chinese principles like Taoism and Confucianism. Taichi is famous for its healing potential and in recent years, its fame and popularity has spread quite extensively.

Taichi involves 3 main aspects:

  • Concentrated meditation to relieve physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional stress
  • Improving health of the body and mind by tuning into overall fitness
  • Developing a sense of self defense in combat by making strategy- appropriate changes in response to stimuli.

Comprehensive, systematic, and peer-reviewed studies in the past decade have proven that Taichi has beneficial effects against conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, osteoarthritis, and other lifestyle diseases associated with stress.
